This course also introduces participants to statistical packages available on Google Sheets. Through in-class workshops, participants will get to work on team exercises, to present their models and use real-life datasets to conduct statistical analyses, test their models and hypotheses, and reach their conclusions. At the end of the course, participants are expected to be able to present clear hypotheses, collect data, analyze the data, test their hypotheses and make data-driven decisions. Core competencies Competency 1: Critical thinking Competency 2: Data analysis Competency 3: Statistical analysis Competency 4: Hypothesis testing Competency 5: Problem solving Competency 6: Decision making Course plan Day 1: Introduction to statistics, definitions, types of variables, descriptive vs. inferential statistics, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode) Day 2: Measures of dispersion and normal distribution (standard deviation, variance, range, skewness, kurtosis, interquartile range) Day 3: Confidence levels and intervals, p-value, correlation analysis Day 4: Hypothesis development, hypothesis testing, t-test Day 5: Regression analysis, moderation analysis, mediation analysis Cancellation policy Full refund if requested 15 business days before the start of the course.
